What is Microsoft Project?

Answer:
Microsoft Project is a program created by Microsoft
for project management and is used for developing plans, assigning resources, tracking progress, managing budgets, and analyzing workloads.

Microsoft Project was first released in 1984 for the Disk Operating System.  Microsoft released a version for Macintosh in 1991 and stopped development of the Macintosh version in 1994.

Microsoft Project assumes resources are unlimited and always available.  For that reason, it cannot be used to determine how many finished projects can be produced on a specific budget.

Newer versions of Microsoft Project allow for operation and management of the software over the internet.
