that is posted on the internet in reverse chronological order. A person who writes a blog is commonly called a blogger and the act of updating a blog is called blogging. Blogs usually allow others to post comments on the original post which allows for a discussion.

The content of blogs differ but some of the more common topics are politics, art, history, food and local news. Some blogs act as personal diaries or family journals. Most blogs are primarily textual informative publications while others feature music, videos, and photographs. Blogs are great because they allow non-techical people to publish customized websites.  The ease-of-use can be attributed to great blogging software.  With user friendly UI's and simple install instructions practically anyone can run a blog.  A couple of the more popular blogging platforms include WordPress and Blogger.com .

Blogs are also great ways to earn income on the Internet.  By placing advertisements or selling goods or services you can turn your blog into a real business.
