Parents and Employers are often interested to track or monitor the websites visited on a computer through internet in order to prevent access to the mind deviating contents of the websites. There are various ways by which one can easily monitor websites visited and these ways are listed below: -
(1) Browse the history of the visited websites on a daily basis in each of the available internet browsers. For this open the internet browser, press “Ctrl” and “h” simultaneously to view the history of the websites visited. In Mozilla Firefox, choose “Show All History” under the history menu bar while in Microsoft Internet Explorer, choose “History” in the “Explorer Bar” menu in the “view” menu bar.
(2) View the temporary internet files and website cookies to monitor the websites visited by directly opening the temporary internet files folder.
(3) Download and install the website monitoring software like Website Spy Monitor, PC Spy Monitor, Web Explorer, SurveilStar, etc. in order to monitor and record all the websites visited on a computer.
(4) Download and install website blocking software like ChildWebGuardian to prevent entering the site which is otherwise having inappropriate material.
(5) One can also install the Software like Web Watcher that allows parents to access their children’s home computer activity from anywhere they have internet access.
