What is Methodology?

Methodology is the process of doing something.

Methodology is the underlying process in how a situation is handled or how an action is accomplished. It usually describes both the physical activity itself and the psychological or emotional aspects of the activity.

It can also describe the researchers' beliefs or opinions that affect the outcome of the study. It is primarily used to determine what actions to take in response to given situations.

Methodology is used in everything we do. We use it when we plan certain actions, such as going on vacation, building things, planning our travel routes, even deciding what to eat or buy each day. An example of using methodology is watching the morning weather and traffic report and planning the least-congested route to work.
