What is CNC? |

Answer:
CNC, also known Computer Numeric Controls, CNC technology was first developed in the year 1950 to perform wide range of complex machining steps with greater accuracy and precision as well as without human intervention. CNC enables the operator to create complex three dimensional designs in a G-code language. However the main programming language is the FANUC. There are various types of CNC machines which are used widely like CNC Lathes, CNC Milling Machines, CNC Drilling Machines and C.N.C Machining Centre’s, etc. CNC machines are used to obtain accurate and precise products in about every manufacturing process like manufacturing machines, cars, aviation parts as well as in laser cutting, welding, ultrasonic welding, flame & plasma cutting, bending, spinning, fabric cutting, sewing, fiber placement, and many more. CNC systems can be used in any process that involves a series of movements and operations. Working of CNC machines: - CNC programmer first takes a review of the three dimensional computer aided design (CAD) blue prints of the parts and than he/she makes accurate calculations and plans about the various tasks to be performed by the machine. These plans and calculations are than transformed into programming language for the machine to follow and perform the task automatically. The various benefits which are offered by the CNC machines are cost reduction, minimizes operational losses, speed-up the process, more safer production, enhances efficiency, less number of labors are required, accurate production process, etc. Trackback(0)
