If you choose to obtain a degree, you’ll have additional book knowledge which may assist in providing you with an in-depth understanding of programming. You will also gain access to careers that may require specific credentials.

You’ll need to learn several computer programming languages. Both Java and C++ are computer programming languages which support class abstractions. Lisp and ML are computer programming languages which support functional abstraction.

So whether you obtain a degree, or get on-the-job training, learning to program will open a world of opportunities for you.
