How are my Transactions Secured on the Internet? |
|
Answer:
One of the ways in which Internet transactions are secured Encryption software scrambles data during transmission. After your data reaches its destination, the software then unscrambles this information. When transmitting sensitive information, a lock icon should appear at the bottom of your web browser page. This means the browser has been able to get a secure encrypted connection with the server. The URL for the web page should change from “http” to “https” for the page requiring personal information. Don’t place personal or financial information on a site until you’ve made sure the site provides secure, encrypted data transactions. If a company has a privacy policy, make sure it states that your information will not be sent over the Internet without being encrypted. Trackback(0)
